Job Overview/Summary
  • Lead and manage the effective operation of the location Finance/Accounting activities
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the location Balance Sheet, ensuring that account reconciliations
    are accurate, explanatory, and timely
  • Ensure accurate product costs
  • Review, comment, edit, and approve or deny requests for capital expenditures
  • Coach, lead and counsel supervisors and staff to achieve business objectives and to support individual employee development. Exercise the customary role of a manager to include but not be limited to work quality, work volume, work assignment, communications, positive reinforcement, performance review, performance management, wage and salary administration, safety, equal employment opportunity and, if needed, discipline
  • Directly and through others, accountable for the integration of financial/accounting operations to
    include, but not be limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash administration, cash
    management, credit/collections
  • Direct the timely and accurate preparation of the location budgets, forecasts, and reporting of
    actual financial results. Provide explanatory commentary on variance related to each of these as
    needed
  • Monitor working capital requirements to best utilize location assets
  • Work with the Company/Corporate Independent Certified Public Accountant to support
    annual/periodic audit activities and to facilitate the preparation of an audited Statement of
    Condition
  • As required, perform a variety of due diligence finance/accounting duties to support a Company
    acquisition, joint venture or similar activity
  • Remain aware of legal and regulatory changes and similar new developments that affect location finance/accounting operations. Continuous training and improvement of self and direct reports
     


Successful Candidate Profile
 
  • BS Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Advanced Finance degree desired
  • 8-10 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Cost Accounting background, including accounting for inventory, maintenance of overhead rates,
    and valuation of materials at the lower of cost or market
  • Strong financial and analytical skills to produce accurate and timely work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to take on new projects, problem-solve, and drive process improvement in responsible areas to ensure processes and systems are efficient and effective
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts to senior management and non-financial managers
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP reporting requirements
  • Develop skills of direct reports and encourages growth
  • Proficiency with modern ERP systems and MS-Office applications. High MS-Excel proficiency
