Staff Internal Auditor
***Note: This role is located in the Raleigh/Durham area and as a result applicants MUST be local or willing to relocate.
The Staff Internal Auditor will help aid in the completion of risk-based internal audits (operational, compliance, strategy), procedures to support financial reporting required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and consulting engagements, among others. The qualified candidate will be tasked with partnering with internal and external resources to provide support and documentation of results and related procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in developing and executing the annual audit plan
• Lead and support various projects across the Americas region and Enterprise
• Review and test key controls and processes
• Conduct financial and operational audits
• Identify and recommend process improvements
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or Accounting is required
• Certifications: At least one professional designation (CPA, CIA, CFE) or other equivalent designation is required
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of audit experience with an internationally recognized accounting firm and/or a large manufacturing enterprise is required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and due dates simultaneously
- Ability to operate within teams of different cultures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS, the IIA Standards, and COSO criteria
REQUIRED
