Our client is seeking a Sr Financial Reporting Accountant to assist the Finance department in the performance of multiple accounting functions and analysis. Job Overview/Summary
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures for quarterly and audited statements
- Ensure full compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and provide support to U.S. GAAP technical accounting issues and non-routine transactions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for financial reporting activities
- Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc analyses requested by various members of management or by investors
- Compilation and reconciliation of annual tax workpapers
- Prepare annual workpapers and documentation for the audit
- Prepare fixed asset and inventory reconciliations
- Prepare monthly bank/cash reconciliations
- Oversee quarterly adjustment and upload of operating company trial balances
- Provide recommendations and guidelines on process improvement
- Prepare investor confirmations
- Prepare monthly depreciation schedules and entries
- Prepare and enter consolidation journal entries
- Record monthly inventory adjustments
- Assist with preparing the fixed asset rollforward and reconciliation of preproductive trees to productive, establishing a base for depreciation/amortization of costs
- Prepare distributions and reports to investors
- Prepare capital call notices
Successful Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of work experience
- Excellent Excel skills and other strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GAAP reporting
- Experience with consolidation of multiple entities and non-controlling interests
- Experience with foreign currency translation a plus
- Experience with NetSuite, Oracle or other ERP system is strongly advised
- Critical thinking and analytical skills to analyze and manage data
- Effectively demonstrate self-motivation, resourcefulness, results orientation
- Able to project manage and efficiently provide support for investor request
- Effectively operate in fast-paced changing environment
- Excellent people, communication, presentation, team building skills
