Senior Accountant
Job Description
Our client, a growing publicly traded company, is seeking a Senior Accountant specializing in SEC Reporting to join their high-performing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong technical skills and public company reporting experience to contribute to a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and other required disclosures.
- Assist with drafting MD&A, financial statement footnotes, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial and operational data.
- Support quarterly earnings release preparation.
- Assist with XBRL tagging and review processes.
- Research and analyze new accounting pronouncements and provide recommendations for implementation.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in SEC reporting or public accounting with SEC clients.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules, and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Workiva or similar reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
