Job Overview/Summary
Successful Candidate Profile
- Monthly reconciliation of assigned accounts
- Prepare Journal Entries in Sage Accounting Software
- Manage sales and use tax software integration/implementation between POR and Vertex
- Responsible for updating cash and reconciliation of select accounts
- Responsible preparing monthly and quarterly reports for management and board meetings
- Coordinate with third party accounting firm to report and file sales tax returns in multiple jurisdictions
- Analytics when closing month, quarter, and year in Sage Accounting Software
- Key contributor to annual audit process
- Cash Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Customer Deposits Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Customer Deposits In Transit Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Sales Tax Payable Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Tax Account Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Accrued Audit & Tax Fees Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- MD&A Reporting
- Power BI analytical reports and KPI dashboard analytics
Successful Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of accounting experience with Auditing background preferred
- Experience with ASC 842
- Strong Fixed Asset knowledge
- Sage Intacct experience a plus
- Point of Rental experience a plus
- The ability to stay focused on detailed assignments while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines when needed
- Strong teamwork and collaboration focus with a desire to see the whole team succeed
